Night to Remember at Fenway

Updated: Mar 15, 2019

I had the pleasure of previewing the new dinner menu at the HEW Parlor & Chophouse located at the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Fl.

First off I could not get over how gorgeous this hotel was! Fenway Hotel is part of the autograph collection hotels and it does not disappoint. It has vintage and classic feels immediately when you walk though the door.

We started the night off with a beautiful sunset on the Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We were presented with a drink called the Cool Cat (wheatley vodka & basil) which was so delicious!

After happy hour we made our way back downstairs to the HEW Parlor & Chophouse.

They had a great presentation about how the hotel originated and I was lucky enough to get it all on video!

The appetizers we had were Crispy Pork Belly, Seared Shrimp and Ahi Tuna. The Crispy Pork Belly was with compressed melons, feta cheese & black olive balsamic reduction. The pork was tender and was so flavorful. The Seared Shrimp was accompanied by creamy polenta, slow roasted tomato, argula salad, corn and lemon caper butter. The polenta was to die for! The Ahi Tuna was the freshest I have ever had and was presented with watermelon radish, snap peas, mint and sesame.

Next course was the Fenway House salad. Farm greens, soft egg (perfectly cooked), heirloom tomato, cucumber and topped off with a citrus mustard vinaigrette.

For entrees we selected from Filet of Beef, Hangar Steak, Flounder or Berbere Roast Chicken. The sides were served family style so we could try a little bit of everything. There was Roasted Corn, Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, Grilled Broccolini and Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes. The Brussel Sprouts were so crisp and delicious! I honestly loved all the sides and my Hangar Steak was amazing as well!

We also indulged in the best wine and cocktails during the dinner service!

The night came to an end with a dessert sampler for all of us to try. Slow Roasted Pineapple (blood orange sorbet, mint, shortbread cookie & coconut butterscotch), Pistachio Cake (burnt honey, pomegranate, orange whipped cream & poppy seed), Fenway Banana Split (salted caramel, fudge brownie, candied walnuts & banana chips) and Goat Cheese Panna Cotta (blackberry, lemon & thyme). All of the desserts were so unique and tasty!

It was such a fun night at the Fenway Hotel. Thank you so much for having us! I am already planning my staycation there in a few months. If you are looking for a beautiful getaway with a waterview, rooftop bar, vintage feels and unique cocktails/cuisine look no further!
