The Karol Hotel -K Club Bar & Bistro

Have you heard the buzz?


The newest addition to the Tribute Portfolio - Marriott Bonvoy hotels will be opening in Clearwater January 2020!


I had the pleasure of previewing some of the menu at The Karol Hotel's - K Club Bar & Bistro and it was out of this world!


The media preview dinner was held at the Epicurean Hotel (Tampa, Fl) since The Karol Hotel is not yet open yet to the public.



We were greeted with a whiskey sour that was specifically made for the event from Dark Door Spirits. If you have never tried there liquor you are definitely missing out.




We started with the Wild Mushroom Bisque (truffle vinaigrette, herb creme fraiche). This soup is literally the best soup I have ever had. I wish I could have packaged a bucket of it and brought it home with me. So many amazing flavors.




Second course was the Smoked Octopus (roasted chickpeas, piquillo peppers, arugula, pickled onions). The octopus was nice and crispy and had a beautiful smoked flavor. All the flavors complimented the dish and I was surprised how much I ended up loving it!




Third Course we enjoyed Prosciutto Wrapped Cobia (crispy parmesan gnocchi, garlicky escarole, tomato butter). This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. I am already a huge fan of gnocchi and prosciutto so this dish hit it right out of the park.




Fourth course was the Smoked Short Rib (cheddar grits, braised collard greens, huckleberry jus). The short rib just melted in your mouth and paired perfectly with the grits and collard greens.




For dessert we finished off the night with Banana Bread Pudding (pecan bourbon ice cream). This was the perfect way to end our evening. The pecan bourbon ice cream was delicious.




I am so excited for The Karol Hotel to open! The hotel will be located in the Feather Sound neighborhood, which is just 15 minutes from Tampa's Westshore District. Also three miles from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and twelve miles from Tampa International Airport. This way you can enjoy the best of both worlds!



Also The Karol Hotel will have two dining options available: K Club Bar & Bistro and

Vantage Rooftop Bar.
