Have you been to Fleming's Steakhouse Sarasota lately? One of the things I love about Fleming's Steakhouse is that they offer more than just steaks. All of there locations offer a Chef's Table menu every month that includes fresh local ingredients and creative dishes from each locations head Chef.
March's Sarasota Chef's Table menu from our very own Chef Matt Nabor was absolutely delicious!
I started the night off with one of my favorite classic drinks the Old Fashion and followed that up with another classic the Moscow Mule. Both smooth and mixed to perfection!
If you have eaten at Fleming's Steakhouse before I am sure you have had there bread and butter that is first brought to the table. The bread was amazing but the flavored butter is what made it!
We went with the SRQ BBQ Shrimp (key lime cajun butter sauce, herbed crostini).
If you love shrimp this appetizer is for you! It was full of flavor and spices. I wish this was on there menu all the time. It was that good!
Strawberry Fennel Salad (arugula, fennel, strawberry, parmesan cheese, balsamic vinaigrette) was my next course and it did not disappoint. I am normally not a huge fan of fennel but it complimented the salad. All of the flavors together were perfect and refreshing.
For our entries we went with Gulf Grouper (roasted fennel, tomato broth) and the Seared Scallops (arugula, grapefruit vinaigrette) with sides of Thai Bok Choy and Sauteed Spinach. I also paired the entries with a selection of wines recommended by our waiter Todd Daly. The scallops paired with grapefruit was one of the best combinations I have ever had. Also the grouper was so fresh it melted in your mouth.
The night concluded with an amazing bread pudding that was paired with chocolate and raspberry sauces with whip cream. Talk about a decadent dessert! It also wasn't too big of a portion where I felt like I couldn't finish it.
Everything was so delicious and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Kevin Kaczmarek is the operating partner for Fleming's Steakhouse Sarasota and was always checking in on us and asking how our courses were or if we needed anything. Also our waiter Tom Daly is one of the best waiters I have ever had. Next time you stop in Fleming's Steakhouse Sarasota be sure to ask for him to be your waiter. He knows everything from what wines to pair your courses with to the menu inside and out.
I can not wait until my next visit to Fleming's Steakhouse Sarasota. There is still a few days left to enjoy Chef's Matt Table Menu for March. Don't worry a new flavorful Chef's Table menu will be out in April if you can't make it in March. Stay tuned!
