Fleming's Steakhouse SRQ - February Chef's Table

It is my favorite time again! Where I get to try out the new Chef's Table menu at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar - Sarasota. Every two months a new Chef's Table is created by one of my favorite local chefs, Chef Matt Nabor!

As always it was another fabulous experience at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar -Sarasota. It is one of my favorite places for a date night on the weekends.

I started the night off with my favorite a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives.

The chef's table this month was out of this world! So many different options to choose from.

We began our feast with some fabulous appetizers.

BAKED BRIE (blackberry, lemon, thyme)

SMOKED SALMON CARPACCIO (dill cream, capers, pickled onion)

The brie was amazing! The last chef's table had brie with pears and was delicious. The blackberry was such a nice touch to the savory brie. The salmon carpaccio I could have ate the whole plate myself.

Next up with the chef's table salad.

BEET SALAD (goat cheese, arugula, pistachio)

The goat cheese paired with beets was an amazing combo! I always get excited to see what fun pairings for the chefs table salad that Chef Matt Nabor comes up with.

For our entrees I got the Grass-Fed New York Steak and my husband got the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass.

GRASS FED NEW YORK STRIP (red wine butter, merlot salt)

MISO GLAZED CHILEAN SEA BASS (sautéed with sesame-orange spinach & arugula, pickled red onion)

For our sides we got the Sweet Corn Risotto and the Fleming's Potatoes.


FLEMING'S POTATOES (potatoes au gratin, creamy cheddar & monterey jack cheese blend, leek, jalapeño)

Everything was so delicious! The seasoning on the New York strip was perfection and the flavor of the sea bass was amazing.

I had a night cap of one of my favorite wines - Decoy Duck Rose'.

We ended the evening with our favorite the Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. If you haven't had this yet make sure you get it for your next dessert at Fleming's.

This chef's table menu was hit out of the park like always. I love how Chef Matt Nabor always finds the best local and seasonal ingredients for his menu items.
