Cassariano Italian Eatery - UTC Sarasota

I had the pleasure last night of dining at Cassariano Italian Eatery at UTC Sarasota.

Italian food is my favorite cuisine and being from New York I am always looking for new spots in Sarasota, Florida to find amazing Italian dishes!

The restaurant’s name is a combination of both partners last names; Luca Cassani and Antonio Pariano, both born and raised in Northern Italy. After years working together in the restaurant business both Luca & Antonio made the decision to venture out on their own and open Cassariano Italian Eatery. They first opened there two locations in Venice, Florida (downtown) and Mineola, Long Island, New York. After having so much success they opened there third location in Sarasota, Florida.

Cassariano Italian Eatery has happy hour Tuesday - Friday 4pm - 7pm, Jazz Tuesday's from 6pm - 9pm, Wine-Down Wednesday's - 50% off wine bottles all night and a Jazz Sunday Brunch from 12pm - 3pm. Plenty of different options for everyone throughout the week.

Lucky for me it was Wine-Down Wednesday and our waiter helped me pick out an amazing Pinot Grigio that I was able at the end of the night to re-cork and bring home with me!

We started the night off with some delicious homemade bread and Cassariano's famous artichoke butter. It was amazing!

For appetizers we indulged in the Burrata con Prosciutto (Imported Italian burrata, parma ham) and the Carpaccio di Carne Tartufato (Paper thin raw beef, arugola, parmigiano, truffle). Both dishes were phenomenal but the burrata I would literally make the drive everyday to have. The truffle oil was the perfect compliment to the dish.

Our entrees came out next and we had the Gnocchi Sorrento (Gnocchi, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil) and the Spaghetti Carbonara (Homemade spaghetti, egg yolk, pancetta, cream). The carbonara had so many amazing flavors. I loved the crispy pancetta! My husbands gnocchi was amazing as well!

We were so stuffed but we could not pass up dessert! We got the tiramisu and the chocolate mousse. I loved the presentation in the beautiful glasses and both desserts went perfectly with my fresh espresso.

The restaurant gave us complimentary limoncello which is is an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy. It is a considered a digestif, which is an alcoholic beverage traditionally drunk after a meal. It was the perfect ending to the night.

Overall our meal was delicious, everyone was so nice and educated about all of the meals and wines and it was the perfect date night. Whether you need a girls night out or a new romantic date night spot I highly recommend Cassariano Italian Eatery.

Give them a follow on instagram to stay in the know on all of there specials!
