Friendsgiving at Phillippi Creek

Holidays can be overwhelming. Some of us have family that is out of town and we are not able to get together with during Thanksgiving. Sometimes we just don't feel like cooking twelve courses. Maybe we just want to treat ourselves and our family to a fun night out and enjoy moms homemade cooking all together.

Look no further my friends. I have already made your Thanksgiving resesrvations. Put that apron up and follow me over to Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar.

I had the pleasure of tasting the Thanksgiving menu at Phillippi Creek thanks to Judi Gallagher and Associates and was blown away!

Not only will they have all of your moms favorite Thanksgiving day fixings but they also will have there full seafood menu and a bunch of other yummy treats to indulge in.

Lets first start with the specialty cocktails! You can have the Harvest Sangria (Rose wine, brandy, apple cider) or the Pumpkin Pie (vanilla vodka, pumpkin puree, amaretto, vanilla bean ice cream). Let me tell you they both were amazing! The Harvest Sangria tasted just like fall and the Pumpkin Pie is perfect way to finish off your night. They also have a full bar so you can enjoy a nice bottle of wine with your meal or your favorite craft beer.

Now for all of the Thanksgiving food! Where should I begin? Everything and I mean everything was delicious. I would normally say there is no way anyone could beat my mom or mother-in-law in the kitchen for Thanksgiving dinner but I will have to be honest Phillippi Creek definitely gives them a run for their money!

We indulged in oven roasted turkey, croissant sage andouille sausage stuffing, sweet potato cobbler, broccoli au gratin, cranberries and mashed potatoes with sage gravy. I could have eaten a trough of the mashed potatoes and gravy! So tasty! The turkey was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato cobbler was one of the best I have ever had. All of this will be available on Thanksgiving day!

Phillippi Creek also offered us some amazing seafood options like Florida Stone Crab, Steamed Lobster, Seafood Stuffed Grouper, Linguini & Clams and Alaskan King Crab. All of it was delicious and so fresh. My favorite was the Seafood Stuffed Grouper which had pink shrimp, blue crab and bay scallops with the perfect seasoning.

Moral of the story is if you want to relax on Thanksgiving and have an amazing experience where you do not have to do all the work.. head on over to Phillippi Creek Oyster Bar. The hospitality and food is always amazing. You also can't beat the food options and eating on the water. Give mom a break this year and bring the family over for a Thanksgiving feast at Phillippi Creek and tell them Laurie Livin Life sent ya!
